Healing

I Lost It

This is something new I have started. It is something that has been helping me with expressing how I've been feeling lately and what I do to get over the latest roadblock in my life.

Where HAVE I Been????

So...apparently blogging, working, school, homework, observation time, and exercise has been too much for me that last two semesters (Yes, I said 2 semesters!). The things I let slip during the past semester? Blogging and exercise....not good considering my degree is physical education! It's a tough reality check when you realize being a kid was SO much easier!

Right now, where I stand within college is roughly about 4 semesters, as long as I can get into all of the classes I need to. My last 2 semesters will be in whatever school I am assigned to, which will be nice to get out of the classroom and learn from various physical education teachers.

My plan of action this semester is to set small goals to become a better college student so that I will do better in school and overall with how I deal with daily struggles and achievements. My goals I have set for myself are:
  • Exercise 3 days per week
  • Plan!
  • Know when to relax
One of my biggest downfalls I have is putting way too much pressure on myself to succeed. This last semester I realized taking too many credits, working, and attempting to be at the gym everyday will only create stress emotionally, physically, and mentally. I now understand that by making goals, you must do small ones in order to accomplish one big goal. One of the biggest downfalls I have as far as planning goes? Not making any! I quickly realized that without any sort of plan, everything goes south and you are left struggling to hang onto the reins!

The Middle Child

When you look up, you will see the eldest
When you look down, you will see the youngest
And I will be in the middle
You would think I would be seen the most.....
But, I feel like the forgotten one
I am not the oldest, and get to do things first
I am not the youngest, who is cute as can be
I am the one stuck in the middle!!!!!!
So where does that leave me?
I am important too, hear my cry
They may be temper tantrums
They may be withdrawals
But please do not ignore?
For I too need to be loved
I'm also a child of yours.......

Trust

"You can't trust water: Even a straight stick turns crooked in it." -W.C. Fields

Trust is very hard, especially when people break your trust and never try to rebuild it. Taking things from you is wrong, yet their needs are bigger than yours, or so it seems to them. It is a daily struggle to trust people with anything, whether its thoughts, feelings, or emotions. They turn things around on you, as if it's all your fault. In the end, trust is built by starting with oneself, yet how can you build trust with a person who takes everything? Things you never really realized you had?

Walking Demon

Walking Demon is usually one adventure after another, however, I find it relaxing because he is bound to make me laugh with one thing or another. He likes to be the lead dog and makes sure that everyone is aware of that by carrying the rope in his mouth...until he spots something that could possible be a cat....but oh wait there is a leaf on the ground too!

Busy...Busy...Busy

Today I started at the big university in my state. I am so excited to be back in school. I had a great day, and ran into lots of friends. I also enjoyed having coffee with one of my co-works who I absolutely LOVE to work with! I was a little concerned about getting to the right buildings at the right times, with them pretty close together, but I made them all and was a little shocked at how big the classes were! My first class, Sociology had over 100 students and then my second class, Kinesology had about 80. I already have lots of homework, but it is not very overwhelming. My next classes will be tomorrow, if we don't get snowed out! I will have Theater, which I am so excited for! I also have Anthropology with my sister tomorrow. I am hoping for a good semester!
